Coir is a natural material made out of coconut husks. The coconut husks are washed to remove salt and then sun dried the coir is then compressed to form bricks. Coco coir is a 100% natural growing medium. Each brick weighs 650 grams and once soaked will yield approx 8 litres of compost which can be used for raising seeds or cuttings and as a base for your homemade composts as a sustainable alternative to peat
